Giesinger Bräu is a medium-sized brewery with a 20-year history and an output of around 50,000 hectoliters per year. The company mainly produces beer, but increasingly also non-alcoholic beer and soft drinks. In total, Giesinger Bräu employs around 40 people in the brewery and a further 70 in the catering trade.
The main sales area is the Munich region and surrounding area, with growing expansion into the German and international market. Exports are developing particularly well and the sales department serves a broad network of customers in the food retail sector. These include large retail chains with up to 2,000 individual outlets. Jonas Seidl is one of two managing directors and is responsible for sales, technology and finance.

The original main motivation was to gain a better overview of the sales territories. The previous procedure was tedious: customer data from the ERP system was exported to Google maps, routes were planned manually and across numerous separate customers, between which it was necessary to constantly switch.
The combination of geographical map view, clustering option and automatically generated route suggestions based on visit rhythms made portatour® the obvious choice. The fact that the software also automatically generates visit tours was initially "a nice side issue" that has turned out to be a significant added value.
