Planted is a Swiss FoodTech start-up that specializes in the development and production of plant-based meat. The organization is completely additive-free and focuses on the perfect bite. With the rapid growth in Germany and the increasing market penetration, it quickly became clear that manual route planning based on table functions and simple route planning tools was not enough. "We tried to plan the routes with free tools. But with over 15,000 potential markets in Germany, you quickly reach your limits," recalls Weiss.
A colleague finally brought portatour® into play, as he knew and appreciated it from previous professional experience. "The connector is bulletproof," says Weiss happily. Without in-depth IT know-how, fields from our CRM system can be seamlessly linked to portatour®. Synchronization works reliably in both directions - from visitor appointments to geodata and address changes. "We save a lot of time, especially when onboarding new employees. Excel used to be prone to errors. Today, everything is stable, reliable and efficient.

The entire team works on the move with portatour®, mainly using iOS devices. The interaction with the Salesforce app runs smoothly. "It's easy to use, the tool is self-explanatory. There are simply no barriers to entry - neither for digital natives nor for experienced colleagues," says Moritz Weiss. After some thought, he can think of just one thing that he would improve: "The design could perhaps be a little more modern. The tool would benefit from a little facelift. But functionally, everything is great and that's what really counts for us."
The tool is extremely user-friendly. Everyone in our team between the ages of 35 and 55 gets on really well.

For Moritz Weiss and his team, the ability to update routes spontaneously is a major advantage: "If an appointment is shorter or longer, all it takes is one click and the tour adapts immediately. That's a real game changer." His entire field service team makes intensive use of this function. The visual map interface has also proven to be indispensable: "The display of customers, their call intervals and open tasks on the map gives every employee an immediate overview of their territory."
In addition, internal communication has also changed fundamentally: "Thanks to portatour®, we work in a more data-based, transparent and solution-oriented way. Nobody feels disadvantaged because everyone sees the same figures and the same standards. This really strengthens the team structure enormously." Germany is a complex market for Planted, with regional characteristics, different retail chains and seasonal requirements.
