The renowned Swiss company based in Grüningen specializes in the manufacture of chemical-technical products. The product range extends from cleaning agents to windshield cleaners for a wide variety of vehicles, which are supplied in both small containers and large tankers to customers throughout Switzerland. With 15 employees, FRIPOO produces around 5 million liters of products annually and serves major customers, who account for the company's main turnover.Hansjörg Hug is Managing Director at FRIPOO and brings many years of experience to the company. Prior to his appointment, he had already been with the company for 6 years and played a decisive role in opening up new business areas. One such area is the refueling of more than 70 fuel pumps, which are operated at various locations in Switzerland. To make the logistics for this new area efficient, Hug decided to use portatour^®.

Why automatic route planning?

This decision was the result of a strategic consideration, as Hansjörg Hug explains: "We were faced with the challenge of ensuring a smooth supply of fuel to the pumps without having to accept unnecessary kilometers or empty runs. Planning routes manually requires a great deal of administrative effort and would have been highly inefficient given the traffic density in Switzerland." The Managing Director saw the automation of route planning as the perfect solution to save both time and money. In particular, the real-time route adjustments that portatour^® makes possible without much effort were a decisive factor in choosing the software.Hansjörg Hug realized that FRIPOO needed to be able to react flexibly to traffic situations and unforeseen events. The integration of real-time traffic data and the automatic recalculation of the optimal route ensures that the dispensers are always filled on time, even if problems occur en route. We can adjust the routes at any time without any additional work for the driver."Another major benefit for FRIPOO is the great simplification of reporting: "After each visit of a fuel pump, the employee submits a short report, which takes an average of 1 minute." All reporting is done digitally and directly via portatour^®, so that no additional office days are needed to document the work.
