In the Scheduling parameters<\/strong> of the Schedule<\/strong> you now have two new choices to select a Starting location<\/strong>: Automatic <\/strong>and GPS location<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Set on Automatic<\/strong>, portatour\u00ae will detect automatically if your route should start at your home location or at the last visited customer, as needed when updating the schedule during the working day.<\/p>\n

Should you want to calculate a route from a different location\u00a0\u2013 for example because you had a lunch break at a restaurant\u00a0\u2013 you can now use the GPS location in portatour\u00ae Anywhere. This works on all devices with a GPS unit (all modern smartphones and tablets).<\/p>\n

In the Scheduling parameters<\/strong> of the Schedule<\/strong>, set Starting location<\/strong> to GPS Location<\/strong>. Save<\/strong> and Update schedule<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Important: When portatour\u00ae first uses\u00a0the GPS location your browser will ask you to confirm that portatour\u00ae can read the current location of your device. Confirm this with yes and give portatour\u00ae access to your GPS location<\/strong>. Should you answer “no”, portatour\u00ae will not be able to use GPS until you enable this manually in the settings of your browser. If you run into problems, contact your IT\u00a0helpdesk.<\/p>\n

Getting the current location can take\u00a0\u2013 depending on device and GPS reception\u00a0\u2013 several seconds. After successfully getting your location, you will see your current position on a map and the related address beside it.<\/p>\n

Hint: By clicking on the map you can correct the starting location. By changing to “Manual” you can enter the address manually.<\/em><\/p>\n

Save<\/strong>\u00a0stores the found location and starts the schedule calculation.<\/p>\n

The starting location remains on the “GPS Location” setting until you report a customer call. Then it will reset itself\u00a0to “Automatic”.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
